Black Box

A university project lasting two months at the end of 2024.

In Black Box you play as an unnamed technician, specialising in hacking government equipment. You and your friend, a spacecraft mechanic, have broken onto a notoriously inhumane maximum-security prison known as Duat, by manning a supply freighter that arrives at the station monthly and sneaking onboard. Duat is almost fully automated, with some of the most powerful security systems ever constructed. Your character, mysteriously, already has some inside information on the prison and has been able to create a daemon that can shut down most of the security systems from the inside for a short time, allowing you to break out your friend, who as been admitted to the prison for unknown reasons.

This game was too small to release on Steam, so I've decided to release it here instead.

All proceeds go towards bigger and better projects in the future, including my very first full length Steam release, 'The Denizen'!

WARNING: the ending can be pretty buggy and I cannot for the life of me figure out why, so if the ending freezes at any point I apologise in advance as you may have to play through the game again. If you don't feel like it, the ending is also shown on the gameplay video.
